It’s a new year! And I want you to be the first to know about some exciting happenings coming to 602 State in the near future!
I truly believe there is a maker inside everyone. And at Hatchlings & Hens, we’re here to hold your hand every step as you find your way. Our 2019 class schedule, through May, is now available and I am so excited about the lineup. Two new additions are especially beneficial to the avid crafter – I’ve created a bundle option for our a-DOOR-able Décor and Anything Goes series. When you register for every class in the series, you’ll save over the cost of registering for individual classes. So don’t hold back! Be sure to checkout our full listing of classes here.
I especially want to thank all of you for a busy 2018 Christmas season! Y’all truly made a commitment to shopping local over the holidays, and my little fam and I couldn’t be more grateful. So that I can start the New Year with a fresh perspective, we started a tradition last year of taking a short winter break. I’ve decided to continue that tradition in 2019 – the shop and studio will be closed January 22 through February 4. This break means you’ll come back to a new look and some exciting new additions when our doors reopen on February 5!
One of the first additions for 2019 will be for our best-selling homegirl. A new jogger lounge pant has been added in a distressed, burnout shade of black. We’re also bringing a new color to our basic tee – a fun shade of teal will be the perfect welcome to the warmer temps as winter months dwindle. I’ve already set aside one of each for myself!
Do some or all of your kids have paws? I am super jazzed about a new pet section that will showcase the handmade goodness we’re known for! Find dog treats, paw balm, ear cleaner, leashes, accessories and toys in our new little corner for furry friends.
A local jewelry maker will be joining the list of local talent at the shop! You may remember Rivetted from our Homemade for the Holidays event – Cindy is an expert in repurposing, leather and metal work. I can’t wait for you to see her pretties!
As much as I love and appreciate something new – old and worn still holds a special place in my heart. I’ve been out picking some of my favorite hot spots and have a whole new lineup of some fun vintage finds that will hit the shelves on February 5.
